The intent of a Home Owners Association (HOA) is to maintain the integrity of the community and ensure property values are protected through the appearance of the community. Community rules and regulations are established to ensure that community members and visitors conduct themselves in a manner that yields to a certain level of community safety, cleanliness, and pleasant atmosphere in which to reside.
HOAs are governed by a hierarchy of various governing documents beginning with Federal and State law, then working its way down to community rules and regulations. Documents and rules further down on the list cannot contradict higher governing documents or laws. The hierarchy is:
Exterior Alterations
All changes to the exterior of your home must be approved by the Architectural and Environmental Concerns Committee ( AECC).
Structural improvements may also be subject to City of Bowie and County Codes.
All denial of requests by the AECC, may be appealed to the Board of Directors.
Please contact the HOA Board to request an AECC form. Complete the form and submit it to the AECC.
Animal Control
It is important to have your animal on a leash while outside of your home at all times.
Remember to always clean up your animal's waste, IT IS THE LAW!!!.
